In order to meaningfully engage with its donors and key partners, DNDi is convening a ‘Stakeholders Group’ consisting of key stakeholders, including public and private donors and key partners, committed to DNDi’s vision and mission. Stakeholders' Meeting

The role of the Stakeholders is to:

  • Comment on DNDi progress to date
  • Serve as a sounding board for DNDi strategy
  • Facilitate effective partnerships
  • Review the environment of R&D for neglected disease

The Board of Directors and the Stakeholders Group will hold an annual joint meeting to comment on progress towards the objectives and to provide advice on future plans. The annual meeting is a forum to further engage the Stakeholders in the work of DNDi.

Through the discussion on progress to date, upcoming activities and plans for the coming years, the Stakeholders Group could provide insight and advice on DNDi strategy including for R&D, Advocacy and Fundraising.

The meeting also provides a forum for review of the R&D environment for neglected diseases and can facilitate communication and collaboration among key groups working in R&D for neglected diseases.

DNDi’s first Stakeholders’ meeting took place in New York in June 2008 and brought together 150 scientists, researchers, academics, NGOs, “Friends of DNDi”, and global health leaders from 25 countries to discuss how international research partnerships can best develop and deliver new lifesaving drugs for neglected diseases.
