Initiative launched to develop drugs for neglected diseases

Summary: A new initiative that aims to develop drugs to tackle diseases that affect the world’s poorest people was launched in Geneva on July 3. The Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative (DNDi) aims to identify drugs to combat diseases such as trypanosomiasis, visceral leishmaniasis, and Chagas disease, which affect more than 350 million people every year.
