HR Analyst & Project Manager

Established in 2003, the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) is a not-for-profit research and development organization that develops new, improved, and affordable medicines for deadly neglected diseases that afflict millions of the world’s poorest people.

The Operations Department was created in 2011 to help the Executive Director focus on strategic activities. It coordinates DNDi infrastructure globally (finance, operational and strategic planning, human resources, information systems and technology, legal structuring, risk management, and organizational development) and supports decision-making and flows of information across the organization. It also provides oversight to business development and legal activities and liaison offices.

 

Purpose of the position

The HR Analyst plays a crucial role in collecting, structuring, analyzing, and reporting on Human Resources (HR) processes and data. S/he gathers and processes qualitative and quantitative data around jobs, compensation, and employment trends leading to relevant reporting and dashboarding.

 

 

Specific job responsibilities

HR analysis

  • Designs and analyses employment data (on all HR topics, including but not limited to attraction, engagement & retention, training & development, performance management, offboarding)
  • Participates in the implementation, maintenance, and updating of HR dedicated tools (HRIS, HR software, …)
  • Contributes to the collection, compiling, and analysis of strategic HR data
  • Participates in the design and analysis of HR Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Is responsible for the follow up, preparation, and presentation of HR KPIs (i.e. headcount and FTE follow up, turnover, leave management, …)
  • Collaborates internally and externally in the identification and implementation of HR actions
  • Keeps actively aware of labour markets trends, reports on tendencies, and proposes relevant actions to address identified needs
  • Analyses and presents data and reports to the appropriate area of expertise, identifies errors, and advises on solutions 
  • Assists the HR team in the progression and moderation of operating policies, guidelines, and systems to encourage best practice within DNDi

Project management

  • Upon delegation from his/her management, leads small to mid-size projects or contributes to large-scale projects
  • Participates in compensation and benefits benchmarking activities in various labour contexts
  • Analyses and ensures that existing HR frameworks in DNDi regional offices are compliant both with the relevant national legislation and DNDi global employment framework (i.e. benefits structure, staff rules, social and fiscal set ups, …)
  • Creates and revises HR policies, processes, and programmes

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in which at least 4 years at Senior Officer level
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and matrix structure
  • Experience of working in public and private sector is highly desirable

Education

  • Advanced postgraduate degree or graduate degree with equivalent in experience to reach Master level

Other requirements

  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency in local languages desirable
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Suite

 

Reporting line

  • S/he reports to the HR & Organization Director with the Head of HR & Administration as contributing manager

 

Other information

  • Status: full time – temporary role – 1 year
