Daisuke joined DNDi in May 2017. Mr Imoto has 15 years of professional experience both in the pharmaceutical industry (Elli Lilly) during which he has developed his expertise in advocacy/public affairs and financial planning & analysis. With JICA and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), Daisuke developed project management skills in the context of developing countries through managing a broad range of infrastructure projects in different countries (notably MENA, Africa and Eastern Europe), assessing viability, risk and financial sustainability of the projects. He was stationed in Paris with JICA for 4 years managing loan operations team.
He has a rich experience of project and team management both in international development and private global business with broad exposure to multiple developing economies. He is committed to leverage his business acumen, stakeholder management and policy dialogue skills in assuming his responsibilities as Head of DNDi Japan. He is a trilingual communicator (English, French and Japanese) with cultural sensitivity and is enthusiastic about working in a multi-cultural environment.
Daisuke holds a Bachelor degree in Law (University of Tokyo, 2001), a Diploma in French Civilization (Sorbonne, 2006) and an MBA with INSEAD (Fontainebleau, 2012).
